Yellow Lines
On 16 June 2017, Eastern Bangkok Monorail Co., Ltd., our
subsidiaries, signed contracts with Mass Rapid Transit Authority
of Thailand (MRTA) for the Yellow Line (Lat Prao to Samrong;
30.4km 23 stations. The subsidiaries are established under the BSR
JV consortium (the Company holds 75%, STEC 15% ,and RATCH 10%).
The contract grants the subsidiaries a 30-year PPP net cost concession with a government subsidy on construction. A notice-to-proceed for the Yellow Line was issued on 29 June 2018 which began the first day-count for Construction and consider hiring Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited to provide train operation and maintenance services. MRT Yellow Line officially opened its service in June 2023 and fully operated in July 2023.
